I'm so desperate for the return of Booster Gold, I may be buying this in both digital and print issues!

It was a year ago at the 2012 SyFy Upfronts that the network announced they were working on an "Untitled Booster Gold Project." The 2013 SyFy Upfront was yesterday, and there was no sign of any Booster Project, untitled or otherwise.

The last news we heard about the Booster Gold show was that writer Andrew Kreisberg was set to deliver a script for the pilot back in December 2011. Given the lack of any news in the months since, it sure is beginning to look like we won't be seeing Booster Gold on SyFy.

I'm not surprised over how many votes baseball and ice hockey got in this poll. After all, they are the Great American and Great Canadian sports. What does surprise me is how few votes basketball got, what with March Madness currently underway!

Next Friday, April 12, the first part of Smallville: Season 11 #13 will be released digitally online. The story "Argo" re-teams the Superman and Booster Gold incarnations of television's Smallville continuity, and it's three parts will be collected into a single "floppy" issue next month. Are you planning to buy this issue one part at a time digitally, or are you willing to wait until it's in print to get your hands on it?

From yesterday through Sunday morning, DC is offering a huge selection of digital comics from 2005-2007 for sale at a mere 99¢ each at Comixology. Since these comics are the nearly complete Infinite Crisis and 52 storylines, they also happen to contain the resurgence of Booster Gold! The available comic books featuring appearances by Booster Gold are

• Countdown to Infinite Crisis #1 (Booster Gold gets a contract to sell sunglasses!)
• The OMAC Project #1-6 (Booster Gold attacks Batman!)
• Infinite Crisis #2, 4-7 (Booster Gold gets a new costume!)
• The OMAC Project Special #1 (Booster Gold flies away!)
• 52 #1-8, 10, 15, 20, 22, 24-25, 31, 33-37, 50-52 (Booster Gold dies and saves the universe!)
• World War III #2 (Booster Gold visits the Leaning Tower of Pisa!)

Sure, you could buy the issues that don't include Booster Gold, but why would you want to? (I mean, unless you also want the issues where Max Lord is killed. Or maybe you like to read complete stories. Whatever.)

In his latest "Pow! to the People" column endorsing digital comics at playbackstl.com, famed Booster Gold fan Eddie Argos has admitted that he is out of touch with Booster Gold.

For the first time in about 20 years I have no idea what is going on with Booster Gold. I'm about 5 months behind. It feels like there is an empty hole in my life.

Ouch. Can it be any coincidence that about 5 months ago Argos, best known as the lead singer of Art Brut, released a digital album featuring a song about Booster Gold? Hmmm? If there's a lesson here, it's that DC needs to start releasing digital copies of Booster Gold. That, or rock stars are going to be forced to go without comic books. And no one wants that.

Is the digital revolution already here? DC made a bunch of noise about Justice League: Generation Lost being released simultaneously in print and digital formats last month (as seen at Newsarama.com). Is DC aware of the delicious irony in using a comic based on nostalgia for the late 1980s to promote their transition into the digital future? As we approach the release of #5, I wonder if anyone out there has taken or plans to take DC up on their offer (as seen at Comixology.com)? If so, please tell Boosterrific: curious minds want to know.
